The technology evolution will continue to amaze me – as 20 years ago we wouldn’t of dreamed of being able to have direct access to the markets like the Banks and Financial Insitutions did, yet now I can place a trade and watch the progress from anywhere in the world that has mobile internet coverage.
Provided your phone has access to the internet and the correct software on the phone you can execute your trades LIVE within seconds of receiving the LTG GoldRock Trade Text Alert. This new technology allows our traders to log directly into their Forex trading account to place, modify, and monitor trades, just as you would from your home computer. LTG GoldRock recommends using Mobile Trading as part of an overall trading plan which includes the use of a computer. Although Mobile Trading gives you the flexibility to action trades on the go, we encourage all our traders to also spend time online in the Trading Room and Learning Center.
1. What type of phone do I need?
A. To trade remotely using the MetaTrader4 Mobile (our preferred software) you will need a mobile/cell phone that supports Windows Mobile 6.0 software or higher. To trade via your IPhone you will need to use the Forex On The Go Application available from your ITunes Store.
Blackberry does not support Windows Mobile.
2. How much download per month will I use on my phone?
A. Your download will vary depending on your personal usage and how often and long you are connected to the internet. Many providers allow you to monitor your usage.
3. I already have a Windows based phone and plan. What do I do?
A. Ensure the Windows Mobile software on your phone is 6.0 or higher. You will need to check with your current provider to ensure you have internet access and the speed they can offer you is acceptable. Up to 3 Mbps is a recommendation. Speed will vary from providers so please ensure you are using a major provider. If sufficient speed is obtainable with your existing provider and you have a suitable data plan.

4. I don’t have a Windows based phone or data plan. What do I do?
If you live outside Australia please call your nearest LTG GoldRock Member Support office for further information. If you live in Australia or USA we will provide your phone and plan delivered to your door with the correct software and plan already installed on the phone. Just get in touch with one of our Phone Consultants. How cool is that!
5. Is the Meta Trader 4 Mobile software FREE?
A. If you are an existing Halifax/GAIN Capital customer and you have either received the phone with the software pre-installed or you have installed it yourself from the Halifax/GAIN Capital downloads you don’t need to purchase or enter a license key. The software is FREE.
* To trade via your IPhone you will need to purchase the Forex On The Go App and open an account with them. For further details it’s best to speak to Member Support before setting up your account.
6. Can I access the trading room using my mobile/cell or iPhone?
A. No… You cannot access the trading room via your mobile/cell or iPhone.
After receiving a Trade Text Alert your mobile/cell or iPhone phone will hold the trading platform software for you to access your trading account and execute trades.
